Our weekend hockey camp is designed to be more than just ice time — it’s a complete development experience built to help young players grow as athletes and people.

 

This camp was founded by Hunter Johannes, a current professional hockey player, as a way to give back to the game and the communities that shaped his journey. Born and raised in Spooner, Wisconsin, Hunter played his youth hockey there before moving to Minnesota to pursue high school hockey. He went on to fulfill a lifelong dream by finishing his college career at the University of North Dakota, a school deeply rooted in his family’s history and passion for hockey.

 

Like many hockey paths, the journey wasn’t linear or easy — but it was full of lessons. This camp exists to pass those lessons on.

 

Alongside fellow players and coaches who share the same passion for the game, Hunter created this camp with one mission: to teach kids what hockey can give you if you believe in yourself, work hard, and refuse to give up on your dreams.

 

Our camp blends high-level on-ice instruction with off-ice athletic development, competitive games, classroom learning, and mentorship. Every session is intentionally structured to help players improve their skating, skills, confidence, and hockey IQ in ways that translate directly to real competition.

 

What truly sets our camp apart is our focus on developing the whole athlete. We don’t just run drills — we create an environment that challenges players, pushes them outside their comfort zones, and shows them that failure is not something to fear, but a necessary part of growth at every level of the game. Through small-group coaching, goal setting, and positive mentorship, players learn how to compete, respond to adversity, and to believe in what’s possible.

For every player to leave better, more confident, inspired — and having fun — while learning that with the right mindset and effort, even the wildest hockey dreams are possible.
