About Our Camp
The Weekend Hockey Camp was created with one mission — to give young athletes the kind of development, mentorship, and leadership that every player deserves, but that is often missing in today's youth sports environment.
My name is Hunter Johannes, and I am a current professional hockey player and former University of North Dakota player. Hockey has taken me across the country and allowed me to learn from great coaches, teammates, and mentors at every level. Throughout my career, I realized that the players who succeed long-term are not just the most talented — they are the ones who have the right habits, the right mindset, and the right guidance. They are different and unique.
That is why The Weekend Hockey Camp was built.
This camp is not just about drills.
It is about building complete players and strong young men and women.

Every session is designed to challenge players, teach them how to think the game, and help them grow as athletes and as people.
We keep our groups small so every player gets real coaching, real feedback, and real attention. Our staff is made up of high-level players who understand what it takes to reach the next level and who care about helping the next generation get there the right way.
As a coach and mentor, my goal is simple:
To give players the tools, the confidence, and the guidance to chase their goals while staying true to who they are and to never give up!
I believe hockey is more than a sport.
It teaches discipline, resilience, leadership, and character — lessons that last far beyond the rink.
It requires faith. Believing in yourself, every day.
The Weekend Hockey Camp is built on those values, and every year our goal is to make the experience better, stronger, and more impactful for every player who steps on the ice.
